Meet Nicole Matsuoka, Owner & Esthetician of Skin Addicts Maui

Nicole Matsuoka didn’t just open a spa, she built the experience she always believed clients deserved. After seven years in the resort spa industry, she launched Skin Addicts Maui in the heart of Wailuku: a boutique studio offering high-quality services, premium products, and the kind of personalized attention you don’t find at a resort.

Today, Nicole offers a curated menu of advanced skincare treatments, from HydraFacials and Procell Microchanneling to her signature Head Spa experience, alongside a growing team that includes a licensed cosmetologist and massage therapist. She’s also a certified sugaring educator, training the next generation of licensed estheticians through her Tapira Foundation Sugaring Course.

Behind the scenes, Nicole runs a tight, client-centered operation. She uses intake forms to personalize every appointment, digital reminders and forms to keep the client experience seamless, and calendar blocks and buffers to protect her team’s time and energy. When she wanted to grow, she didn’t wait for referrals; she got intentional about visibility, leaning into Instagram marketing to expand her reach and keep her books full.
